12 CE units within the past 12 months (annual cycle effective Jan 1, 2026; renewals submitted from Mar 19, 2026 follow the annual schedule). Directors also require 12; phlebotomists (CPT I/II, LPT) require 3. Renewal window is 30 days before expiration (was 60). Late renewal doubles the fee. California has its own rigorous state-specific licensing program and does not equal ASCP certification.
