Data sourcing

Every state licensure requirement, CE hour count, fee, and renewal cycle displayed on this site is sourced from an official state board website or certifying body. We link directly to the source page from each data point. When a value is sourced, you will see a verification line (e.g., "Verified Aug 28, 2026 against CDPH Laboratory Field Services") linking to the primary source.

What "Verification pending" means

When a regulatory value has not yet been independently confirmed against a primary source, we display "Not yet verified" rather than a number or fee. This is a deliberate choice: we would rather show nothing than show something wrong. A value of "Not yet verified" means we have either not yet reviewed the state board's current guidance, or the value exists in our data but lacks a confirmed source URL and verification date.

How often data is re-verified

We re-verify state data on a rolling basis. Each state's verification date is displayed publicly. Our goal is to re-verify every licensed state at least once every 180 days. When a state changes its requirements, we update the data and log the change on our corrections page.

What this site is not

This site is not affiliated with any state licensing board, ASCP, AMT, or CDPH. We do not award CE credit, process renewals, or issue licenses. We are an independent informational resource built by and for laboratory professionals.

Corrections

If you find an error in our data, please contact us with the subject "Data correction". We will investigate and, if confirmed, log the correction on our corrections page with the date, what changed, and the source.

CE provider listings

CE providers are listed for informational purposes. Inclusion does not constitute endorsement. Approval requirements vary by state — always confirm with your state board before purchasing CE. Providers are labeled with their accreditation status where known.
